For $2,700: A Newly-Built East Village Single Family

Pasta anyone? Available April in East Village, this "sun-drenched" 2/2 new construction is neither modern nor whimsical by design, but thankfully its owner felt the urge to paste memos on the walls like "pasta" and "clean" to spruce things up... just so we don't confuse the kitchen with the bath (imagine the shock!). The upstairs master suite is pretty jazzed up too, with its exercise space, vaulted ceiling, and attached deck. The side yard and patio aren't incredibly private but offer decent outdoor space for the area. Ditto the front yard with its young birch and pine trees. Oh, and here's why this kicks most apartments' asses: there's a 1.5-car garage. Built in 2009, the home actually climbed in price as it tried to sell, according to Zillow's price history, topping out at $588K. It's now asking $2,700 in rent.
