PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Friday we reveal the answer. And hey, no cheating!
This time around, Pricespotter fielded some close guesstimates on this 3/3 Lincoln Park duplex, but the overall range was oddly large. Two readers succeeded in bracketing the asking price: "Kyle Chi" and "Ally from Florida" who ventured $800K and $925K, respectively. The actual price is $875K. Most other guesses erred on the high side, and we can see why. In the words of an anonymous commenter, with all that AV jazz, "I'll bet someone from the Cubs or Blackhawks ends up with it." One thing we forgot to mention, which really consolidates its bachelor pad credentials, is the built-in "keggerator". We're thinking the busy Fullerton location and the building's general dreariness dragged down the price at least a little. Who would picture this kind of place in that kind of building? As always, thanks for playing!
