There's a new game in town. It's called the "mom cave" and it seeks to right a perceived imbalance in masculine v. feminine space in the home owing to all the "man cave" hype. Local design company Divas N' Design is pushing the "mom cave" concept as an essential and long-neglected oasis from a mother's harried existence. In that spirit, the company is staging a design contest, whereby contestants submit photos of their makeshift "mom caves" with accompanying stories. The crazier the better. According to their publicist, the company is on a mission to assist women in creating personalized "mom caves". The contest winner, to be named on (gasp!) Mother's Day, will receive a Divas-designed cave valued at $20K. [Divas N' Design]
