Galactic Real Estate

Interested in obsolete technological real estate? Bet you never thought you'd see a chance to live in a Cold War satellite station on the Central Coast of California. Partially converted into a weekend home by Silicon Valley electronics mogul Jeffrey W. Bullis, the New York Times is trumpeting its return to market for $3M. It's still got far to go to meet standard dwelling expectations, but makes for a pretty rad man cave as is. The bunker beneath the enormous satellite dish offers 21,000 sf of living space chock full of strange electronics including a gigantic 1960s computer. Transmissions from early space missions were heard through old communications equipment. Bedrooms have been added, if not much else, so what are you waiting for! [NY Times]
