Millennium Park's main draw, Cloud Gate, better known by its sobriquet "The Bean," is getting a makeover, albeit a temporary one. In an attempt to attract visitors to the park during a time of the year when attendance wanes, the famed 110-ton sculpture will be integrated into a highly-choreographed light show known as "Luminous Field." The show, which features music and dance, is the brainchild of Sean Gallero and Petra Bachmaier of Luftwerk. It runs from February 10th through the 20th and was made possible by $100,000 in grant money from the State of Illinois. Make sure to check out a video preview at the Sun-Times website. [Sun-Times]
