The Curbed Cup kicks off Monday, and, since announcing its arrival last week, we've been mercilessly drowned in neighborhood of the year nominations. Thank you all! Last year we only had enough fodder for an 8-nabe bracket, but we're hereby expanding it to 16. And now for a pained ruling: Uptown is out of contention. This was a tough decision and has no malice in it, but the drumbeat of Uptown Update has proven too powerful for other neighborhoods to overcome. Uptown will most surely win for a third time if allowed in. And where's the fun in that? [The MGMT]
