The Curbed Cup, Curbed Chicago's annual Neighborhood of the Year tournament, continues today with the second semifinal. The deserving (and oh-so-sexy!) candidates are presented below. The poll starts now and closes tomorrow morning. Let your true feelings be known!
It's down to this one last tasty appetizer before Friday's main event, but there's no need to conserve your appetite. If there's one thing about Curbed Cup it's that the citizenry's appetite only grows as the victories pile up. Second-seeded Avondale survived a volatile quarterfinal that began with some acrimonious comments but graduated to informative exchanges- y'all Avondalers were completing each other's sentences by the end. You'll need to harness that solidarity for today's contest with Andersonville. People don't move to Andersonville by accident— they usually love being there. The scene is far more "developed" than Avondale's but there was a clear perception of positive change happening just below the surface, conveyed by our readers. Now those same readers, plus the Avondale gang, can convey their feelings anew in this semifinal.
