The Neighborhoods

You can throw out the Curbed Cup (please don't) now that Realtor.com has designated the "hottest" neighborhood of the year all on its own. Not only is Old Town Chicago's hottest, it's the nation's. That's based on a very simple one-note methodology: what zip code logged the most property searches on their website. That would be 60610. Here's our beef: 60610 includes parts of Bucktown, Goose Island, Cabrini Green, Gold Coast, and the Fulton River District— a pretty wide net, you'll agree. One area it doesn't include is historic Old Town Triangle just across North Avenue (60614). And that's where all the badass homes are. They are indeed separate neighborhoods, but it's not easy to conceptualize one without the other. [Realtor.com]
