Curbed Cup 2012: Pick Chicago's Neighborhood of the Year

Another 12 months of block-by-block evolution are behind us in the fast-moving town, so we're asking once again, what areas are best positioned as Neighborhood of the Year? Last year and the year before, Uptown was the winner. The neighborhood's success has been its undoing, as we've decided to keep it on the sidelines this year and let another 'hood shine. The bracket has ballooned to 16 competitors this year, and our hope is that it'll feel more inclusive. In the interest of spirited competition, the first round's pairings were partly determined by natural rivalries and proximity. But no throwing stones, just snowballs. Let the games begin!
