Award Tour

AIA Chicago held its annual awards ceremony the other night and the lucky (and deserving) headliners were architecture critic Lynn Becker (Distinguished Service Award) and Farr Associates (Firm of the Year). Becker posted Doug Farr's acceptance speech to his blog ArchitectureChicago PLUS. The firm is known for balancing urban planning projects with architectural commissions. Its notable work includes the awesome transformation of the old Sears Power House into school house, design of the midwest's first Net Zero house, and creation of a South Chicago LEED master plan. Curbed salutes you! [ArchitectureChicago PLUS]
