Good 'n Green

Inhabitat recently visited a new green home in Lincoln Park that seeks to be an "educational model" for healthy, sustainable design. There are a lot of layers of 'green' to peel back with this place, from material usage to passive architectural features to child-centered design. Joe Trojanowski was the architect and Susan Fredman Design Group weighed in on the interiors. The home is endowed with a laundry list of 'green' technology and special design considerations. Inhabitat will fill you in. Suffice it to say, the construction exceeds the city's Green Homes Program Guidelines. And, this is just the second dwelling built in partnership with Healthy Child Healthy World in the Chicago area. [Inhabitat, photo: Joe Trojanowski Architect]
