Fresh off a hard-fought $32M contract extension, Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte may be looking to upgrade. He put his 5-bed, 4-bath home in far-flung Vernon Hills on the market for $729K, about $100K less than its '08 sales price. The 3,640-square foot, all brick exterior home was built in 2002. We were able to dig up the listing, but no interior shots were provided, so we can't see firsthand what the place is working with. But we're told it has a 2-story great room, gourmet kitchen, brick patio, and a fully finished basement. Maybe Forte will join the ranks of other high-profile Chicago athletes and buy a posh unit in Trump. [Crain's]
