With summer behind us, we journeyed to the Fulton River District where K2's presence is now unmistakable. Tons of progress has been made since our last visit in early May when the 34-story tower was a mere seven stories high. And just today, the sucker topped out. You can color us impressed by the sleek blue-green glass, which is a very close approximation to what's shown in the renderings. We're waiting with baited breath to see what kind of landscaping is in store for the parcel of land directly south of the building. Designed by Papageorge/Haymes, the 496-unit will deliver plenty of high-end amenities like a business center, storage space for 200 bikes, a two-story "state-of-the-art" fitness center with steam rooms and a yoga center, a 70-foot long cantilevered pool, and, of course, some pretty bitchin' views. Completion is expected within the next six months.
