The Legacy perhaps gets less attention than it deserves. An embattled development, the 72-story 2009 condo tower brought sensible residential density to The Loop while preserving the masonry and terra cotta facades along the landmark Jewelers Row. The tower could easily have been chopped down by 20 or 30 stories, which would've rendered it unremarkable on the skyline. Of the tower's available units, this 4/5.5, 33rd floor offering is the finest. That's high enough for some stone cold views, and the building's orientation maximizes lake sight lines. But orientation isn't really a factor for this space: as a combo of three units, it claims the entire east face. The 4,400-square foot interiors are unfurnished, giving a good sense of room depth and the quality of finishes. Included are wide plank floors, fireplace, wet bar, marble baths, and a large chef's kitchen. Oh, and the building is, of course, full amenity. Fairly new-to-market, the initial ask is $3.5M.
