The ax has fallen yet again on the incredibly large and daunting Montgomery Ward Observatory penthouse at 6 N Michigan. When we explored the singular property back in May, it was listed for $4M. But it's a shifty sucker, in both size and asking price. At one point, the offer was 8,000 square feet for $8M. Then it registered as a paltry 2,550 square feet (likely a mistake). Then the ask made a slight rebound from $4M to $4.5M. And now, we're hearing 6,200 for an even $3M. Good grief! At least the price per square foot finally makes some sense: $484. Considering all the work to be done, and the sky-high assessment of $6,100/month, it'd be silly to expect much more. [@properties, previously]
