Our Racked cousins sniffed out a Crain's article which, in turn, sniffed out new prospects for an unfinished and controversial development at 375 N Morgan Street. The zombie condo development at Morgan and the Metra tracks was toppled after 2005 revelations of corruption in permitting. In late August, rumor was developer Fred Latsko would pick up the property and reuse in some non-residential manner. "Latsko will get what he wants," remarked one of our commenters at the time, and he appears to want a fashion retailer and brewery. Latsko is in talks with Akira and an unnamed microbrewery. This is not too big a surprise considering how the new Morgan CTA station has generated more commercial interest in the area. [Racked, previously]
