The removal of all things 'Elysian' and their Waldorf re-branding officially gets underway Feb. 1, says the Tribune. Hilton Worldwide, owner of the Waldorf Astoria brand is bringing their marketing muscle to local hotel market, which interested parties are hoping brings new success and stability to the 188-room Gold Coast hotel. As we've reported previously, the 51 upper floor condos will be unaffected, as will the amenities available to owners and guests alike (complimentary Evian, anyone?). All of the developer-owned condos have sold, for between $2.5M and $8.5M. [Trib]
