Another Single-Family Planned for Urban Sandbox?

One year ago, to the day, Curbed paid a visit to the 1600 block of North Wolcott in Bucktown to check in on the assortment of modernist mansions and the small condo building known collectively as Urban Sandbox. The block still doesn't look like the original renderings, we decided, because "two of the five single-family homes were never built, which has the effect of a missing tooth on an otherwise pretty smile." Looks like the dentist might be ready to operate! A new listing for a 7,000-square-foot home at 1621 N. Wolcott Ave. hit the market today promising 2012 delivery. The home is listed for $2.69 million — about $750K more than Ozzie Guillen recently paid for the home two doors to the north. If the home actually does get built this winter, it'll be the first addition to Urban Sandbox since the condo building at 1615 N. Wolcott was completed in 2009.
