Enormous 110-Year-Old Home in W. Rogers Park for $1.79M

New, 9 comments

Looking for a place where you can really stretch out? Few Chicago homes can match the sheer size of this jumbo 5BD, 5.5BA home in West Rogers Park. The house was built in 1900, and according to the listing, it's available for the first time in its 111-year history. Some of the language in the listing is a bit difficult to decipher, so make of this what you will: "THE 3 car garage had the chauffeurs quat with bath. 20 years ago was added the indor pool basement was used mass by bishop shean." The 12,000-square-foot home has been on the market since January, when it was listed for $2.45 million. Several price reductions later, the asking price is now $1.79 million.
