The Chicago Journal takes a look at the current status of Roosevelt Square, the mixed-income community that was supposed to replace the ABLA public housing project in Little Italy as part of the CHA's Plan for Transformation, and finds that only one out of six phases and just 591 of the planned 2,440 housing units have been built. Developer Related Midwest says the economy is to blame for the slow pace, and the company couldn't say when construction would start up again. [Chicago Journal]
