What's This? More New Construction in the East Village?

New, 1 comment

Yep, it's another glass box in the East Village. Not that natural light will ever fall from fashion. Or voyeurism. This one, like some of the other new buildings that have cropped up along Ashland in recent years, looks like it's wearing sunglasses. Construction started earlier this year, and it appears to be on a steady track to completion by year's end. Being on a busy avenue, the developer opted for rear balconies and a clean and shear facade. Curbed dropped by the construction site at Ashland and Erie to snap some pictures, and it was evident that interior work was underway, but judging by the port-o-potty, an educated guess is bathrooms are still in the pipeline. The building permit says the building will house three residential units and a first-floor office. No word yet on asking prices.
