Earlier this year, Scott Rappe from the East Village Association noticed that a pair of nice old brick houses on Wood Street, just north of Chicago Avenue, had a date with the wrecker's ball. Flash-forward three months, and the buildings are gone. In their place, a new three-story six-flat is taking shape. A neighbor told Curbed that a three-flat will also be built on the site, but there are no signs of it yet. Follow the links below to see what was there before.
