Earlier today we received word that ArtBridge, the New York-based nonprofit that brightens up otherwise unsightly scaffolding (also known as 'sidewalk bridges') with art, will be attending the Construct trade show at McCormick Place next month. Trade shows don't do much to excite us, but the idea of a bunch of temporary art installations coming to the city just in time for the impending apartment construction boomlet does. According to the press release, ArtBridge will soon be expanding its concept nationwide, and the org is set to unveil a new low-budget offering for construction sites of 25 to 100 feet. What construction sites around Chicago could use an ArtBridge makeover? Our top choice: Waterview Tower.
