Y.C. Wong Atrium Townhome in Kenwood Sells for $350K

New, 4 comments

Earlier this year, when this modernist townhouse in Kenwood hit the market for $369,000 (and was later reduced to $358,000 ), it was featured on both Crib Chatter and YoChicago. The Crib Chatterers weren't buying it. "No way in hell this sells for 350k," wrote one commenter. "Maybe 200k tops." Another asserted that the "price is delusional," and estimated its value at $215,000. It looks like they were both wrong. According to Redfin, the 1,400-square-foot unit sold this week for exactly $350,000. The home was designed by modernist architect Y. C. Wong, an understudy of Mies van der Rohe and father of prominent landscape architect Ernest Wong of Site Design Group.
