A 4BD Bungalow in Austin with a Case of the Blues (and Purples)

In the market for some new digs, but don't have a sky-high budget? Join the club — The Under 300K Club.

For this week's Under 300K Club entry, we travel west to North Austin — a neighborhood where most homes sell for much less $300K — to a home where it feels like you're wearing tinted glasses in every room. This 4BD, 3BA bungalow went into foreclosure in 2010, and the current owner bought it from the bank in February for just $54,500. Five months and several cans of paint later, the 1,300-square-foot house is back on the market for $199,900. According to the listing, the home has new windows, plumbing, electric, a new kitchen, and of course, a new shower with body sprays and purple LED lights.
