This Hyde Park house is in a battle with Virginia creeper, and it appears to be losing. Badly. (In Detroit, they apparently call these 'feral houses.') Behind this huge bushes, tall weeds and suffocating vines in the "lovely front yard" (as the listing describes it) we can almost make out the shape of what was probably a very nice home at one point. "On an unusually huge 50x150 lot, it is ready to be developed," says the listing. Are they suggesting a tear-down? Let's hope not. The 3,370-square-foot house sold for $340,000 in 2009, and later that year it was relisted, rather optimistically, for $799K. It's now priced at $449,000.
