Things are getting rather heated on the picket line in front of the Park Hyatt at 800 N. Michigan Ave. Striking workers say the hotel turned on the heat lamps, which are meant to heat the hotel entrance in the winter, in an effort to smoke them out. Said one demonstrator: "They put the heat lamps on us, like we were nothing... If the heat didn’t kill us, the heat lamps would." The heat lamps had been turned off by the time local press arrived on the scene. [WBEZ / CBS Chicago]
