Want to live in a jumbo Landmark on Chicago's North Side without being chained to a mortgage? Here's your chance. Back in March, we reported that the 6,000-square-foot Abbott House had sold for about $1.6 million after sitting on the market for about a year and a half. It looks like the new owners aren't planning to live in the historic home, at least for now. Today, we noticed a new rental ad for the home for $8,500 per month. At that price, it's one of the more expensive rental options in the city, but consider what you get: an enormous 6BD, 7BA house with a big porch, a bigger yard (the property is five city lots), and parking for eight cars. The Craigslist ad doesn't make any mention of the 1,400-square-foot carriage house (maybe that's where the new owners reside).
