With the news that design work is finally underway on the Bloomingdale Trail, Paris Schutz from 'TTW did a bit of trespassing, a bit of jogging, a bit of biking, and some other tomfoolery in this report he filed for Chicago Tonight yesterday. Schutz says the city is "moving forward full bore" on the project, although it's still a very long way from being realized. So far, just $7 million out of an estimated $40-$75 million (likely a low-ball) needed to build the 2.6-mile park have been secured. According to the related article on 'TTW's website, CDOT will be handing out postcards soliciting advice on the Bloomingdale Trail at the Bike to Work rally on Friday.
