A 1BD Loft in Bucktown Where the Pop Art Pops for $330K

New, 1 comment

Around here, we tend to get distracted by bright colors. Sue us. Perhaps that's why this loft on the fourth floor (or 'penthouse,' as the listing would have it) of Bucktown's Langendorf Building caught our eye this morning. The unit is occupied by an army of mannequins, dolls, pink birds and other eccentricities. Strip that stuff away, and you're left with a pretty roomy, 1,400-square-foot loft, with a very long (32' x 6') private deck. It looks like the unit was originally a two-bedroom, and according to the listing, architectural plans have been drawn up for conversion back to two-bedrooms. The unit also comes with roof rights. But is $330,000 (without parking) a good price for a 1BD, 2BA in that building? The market will decide that. A larger 2BD, 2BA in the same building sold a couple weeks ago for $397,500, and last year, a slightly smaller 2BD, 2BA went for $332,000.
