Back in January, a tipster let us know that an apartment in a former bank conversion at Chicago and Paulina in the East Village was up for rent. Charming though it was, that place doesn't really compare to the unit above it, which is now available. The 3,200-square-foot, 3BD, 2.5BA unit fills the top two floors of the building, with 25-foot ceilings and two sets of large windows in the living room. The real draw, though, is the 2,000-square-foot private roof deck that has built-in grills, slate flooring, and ipe planters. Inside, the apartment has cork floors, radiant heating, and lots of high-end, modern finishes. It also comes with a two-car garage. According to the Craigslist ad, the unit has been owner-occupied, and this is the first time it has hit the rental market. It's listed for $3,950 per month.
