The 6,000-square-foot mansion that topped our January list of the five priciest mansions in Kenwood sold last week for $2.35 million ($350,000 below the list price.) Public records show that this is the most expensive home sold in Obama's 'hood (or "Obama-wood," if you prefer) in nearly two years, just barely edging out the nearby Magerstadt House by $25K. The home has an elevator, a brand-new kitchen, and a two-bedroom coach house. The sellers bought the home in late 2008 for just $900,000, and after giving it a "complete renovation," according to the listing, they were able to sell it for more than twice as much.
