The vacant Fellowship Baptist Church at 1350 S. Union is for sale for $3.5M, and neighborhood residents believe that the Newman Center, a group that runs Catholic residences and ministries in non-Catholic schools, wants to make it a dorm. But local residents worry that the Catholics will bring "super high traffic" (a major concern, right next to the Dan Ryan) and loud partying with them. A community meeting is scheduled to take place about the proposed dorm. [Gazette Chicago]
