1960s Mansion in Highland Park Reduced by $700,000

Last month, our cousins over at Curbed National gave this modernist, lakeside home in Highland Park the 'House of the Day' treatment. The home was built in 1963, and it's loaded with some groovy period decor. In many ways, the sprawling one-story home, with its circular living room and oval dining room, looks like a transplant from Southern California. Square footage isn't offered in the listing, but with five bedrooms, seven baths, and a pool house to boot, it's probably quite roomy. When it hit the market in September, the home was priced at $7.49 million. Last week, the sellers dropped the price for the first time, reducing it by $700,000, to $6.79 million.
