Did you hear the sound of trumpets in Hyde Park recently? The University of Chicago held a topping off ceremony for the 10-story Logan Center for the Arts, and yes, they actually brought in some trumpet players from the University Symphony Orchestra for the event. The building, designed by Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, is at full height, but there's still plenty of work to be done. It's scheduled to open in spring 2012. [UChicago News]
