Price Still Falling on Vintage Gold Coast Mansion

New, 1 comment

Gold Coast mansions are no strangers to the PriceChoppper, and in recent months the prices on some of the city's grandest homes have been taking a beating. The trend has become rather pronounced: Last month, YoChicago reported seven-figure price reductions on a pair of side-by-side homes at 75 and 77 E. Elm. A week later, Crib Chatter spotted a $990K reduction on a 6,000-square-foot home with a broken window. Joining them on the dance floor is this stately 6,300-square-foot home at the corner of Burton and Dearborn, which has been reduced by at least $1.2 million since it hit the market in 2009. The latest reduction brings it down to $4.29 million, which is about $170K below the 2006 sale price.
