Chicago From the Sky

This morning, we linked to David Roeder's Sun-Times column about a new $49 book of aerial photographs from Lawrence Okrent called "Chicago From the Sky: A Region Transformed." This afternoon, the Trib's Blair Kamin also takes a look at it, and comes away impressed with the photos, but somewhat disappointed with the lack of commentary. The book features "before" and "after" photos of Chicago from 1985 to 2010. If you ever wondered what the areas like Central Station and Lakeshore East and parks like Palmisano and Millennium looked like before they were redeveloped, here's your chance.
