"People are more willing to put their marginal homebuying dollar towards location or size than they are a possible reduction in energy costs and Green piece-of-mind, especially when the claims are vague or bizarre and the reductions in energy footprint questionable. Also I get the feeling that most renters who are in the market to eventually buy a home probably don't think they'll see the possible long-term costs savings from even renting green, so there goes that option.
