Planning the ultimate wedding, or some other pricey shindig? Via YoChicago, Crain's columnist Shia Kapos reports that Real estate developer Fred Latsko is renting out two high-profile luxury properties: Oprah's former 180-acre estate in Rolling Prairie, IN and the Dewes Mansion in Lincoln Park. Latsko bought the "The Farm" from Oprah in 2005 for $3.25 million, and it includes a 9,700-square-foot main house, a pool, tennis court, riding stable, and a helicopter pad. The Landmark Dewes Mansion also has a rich history. It was built by brewer Francis J. Dewes in 1896, and was later owned by Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Famer Chuck Renslow (and, according to Joe Zekas, it is rumored to have been rented out for gay porn films). According to Crain's, Latsko is asking $20,000 per day for the Rolling Prairie estate and $15,000 for the Dewes mansion.
