Nate Berkus' rise to fame was a swift one, leaving a lot of folks asking, "Who the hell is Nate Berkus?" For those unacquainted with the pseudo-celeb, he's an interior designer who used to live in Chicago and now has a TV show. Most importantly, he's a guy who's trying to sell his condo. Three months after listing the roomy (3,980-square-foot) 3BD, 4BA unit, Berkus lowered the price this week by $200,000. That doesn't come as a big surprise, considering that he bought the place for just $1.5 million back in 2003. At the current price of $2.45M, it's still well above that, and at $616 per square foot, it's in the upper bracket of Gold Coast homes. According to the listing, Berkus added new hardwood floors, rehabbed the master bath, added new appliances and kitchen backsplash, and added new electrical.
