Three Years Later, Church Condo Sells $360K Below Asking Price

New, 1 comment

The sellers did an admirable job rehabbing and converting this circa-1960s Irving Park church, keeping the round window in the bathroom and adding designer finishes with some unique decorative touches. And with 5,296 square feet of living space, it's bigger than many single-families. But despite its charms, $975,000 turned out to be a rather unrealistic price for a converted church condo. After sitting on the market for almost three years, Unit A finally sold this week for $615,000 ($116 per square foot) — $360,000 less than the 2008 asking price.
