Four Years and Counting for West Rogers Park's Biggest

New, 1 comment

West Rogers Park isn't exactly known for its mansions. Nor is it known for its "French Provincial" architecture. Perhaps that's why this enormous home has sat on the market since January 2007 (although it was taken off the market for long stretches of time). Officially, the 10BD, 8.5BA home 8,417 square feet of floor space, but according to the listing, if you add the finished basement it increases to 12,000, making it the biggest (and most expensive) home in West Rogers Park. From Google Maps we can see that at least a half-dozen new-construction homes were built on this remote cul-de-sac in the 3100 block of West Wallen in West Rogers Park. Most of the others sold, but this place is still up for grabs. Google Maps' satellite view shows a lot of green space (read: vacant lots) surrounding this place. The home is currently listed for $1.29 million ($154 per square foot).
