EVERYWHERE—Restaurant Week may be ending in a few days, but Chicago Chef Week just started taking reservations. The week-long event, held March 20-26, features about 50 top restaurants, including avec, Province and Boka.

ANDERSONVILLE—Andersonville is quickly becoming a seriously hot dining destination, and with the addition of the just-opened Kingfisher Seafood Restaurant, it just got hotter.

LINCOLN PARK—Last week's announcement that Ryan Poli would leave Perennial for Tavernita sent shockwaves through the dining scene. But the restaurant had an equally big surprise when it revealed that Vie's Paul Virant would be the new chef and partner.

UNIVERSITY VILLAGEBaconfest is taking place April 9 at the UIC Forum and tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 25 at noon. Get ready to snatch 'em up and get your bacon on.
