An Edward Dart-Designed Ranch Home in Glenview for $749K

New, 1 comment

Edward Dart, the architect who designed Water Tower Place, designed this Gleview ranch house in 1960. The listings refer to it as the "Anderson House," but because we don't know who Anderson was (is?), we'll just focus on the house. The living room, with that big, well-lit cathedral ceiling and funky arched fireplace, is the real showstopper. Normally, purple floors wouldn't sound like a great idea, but under that glowing ceiling they look pretty OK. The rest of the 3BD, 3.5BA home looks comfortable, but not as exciting. (Although it does have a pretty large backyard, and it's adjacent to an enormous forest preserve.) The home, which has been on the market since October, is listed at $749,000.
