Last week it was Target; now, Walmart has announced plans to open a 26,491-square-foot grocery store in the Presidential Towers retail space. "We continue to be focused on underserved communities in the city," Steven Restivo, Wal-Mart's director of community affairs, told the Trib. By that, we hope he isn't implying that the West Loop is a food desert. (There is, after all, a Dominick's three blocks away, and Mariano's is on the way.) [Chicago Tribune]
