How much longer will the boarded-up Pizza Hut building continue to rot at the corner of Division and Ashland? In October, the East Village Association Board of Directors shot down a developer's proposal to build a residential tower with a drive-through bank on the site because it would bring too many cars to the already-congested area. Now, Shorewood Development and Oxford Development are proposing to build a four-story apartment building anchored by a PNC Bank branch. The bank plans call for two drive-through lanes, which is unlikely to gain support of the board. [East Village Association]
