An 1883 Flatiron Loft for $339K in Lincoln Park

A hat tip to Bob Goldsborough of The Tribune's Elite Street Column, for pairing this well-executed loft with former WFLD Fox reporter Mark Saxenmeyer. We wanted to give y'all a closer look at the 2-bed 1,200 sf vintage space. You could say it covers three-levels, but that would be misleading. One of the levels consists only of basement storage space, and another the lofted master bedroom. The condo belongs to an 1883 brick flatiron in Lincoln Park's Sheffield Historic District. The former storefront ground floor living space has old 12' tin ceilings as evidence. We're pretty sure those leaf-shaped ceiling fans are not an original feature. Drywall covers most of the old brick walls, except where they peak through in the second bedroom. The condo sold to Saxenmeyer in '05 for $359,000 and is newly listed at $339,000.
