"Parts of Uptown have a distinct sort of 1970s Chicago seediness about them. Other parts (Buena, Sheridan, Margate parks and the southern reaches of Andersonville) are the most attractive remaining not-completely-gentrified chunks of the north side, and are quite pleasant places to live if you're slightly less of a ninny than certain people on this thread. Other parts are somewhere in between. There are patches of awesome and patches of suck. But none of it is Englewood or the wild 100s. Get a grip. The overall crime rate in Uptown is about the same as in Hyde Park." —Anon [Lake View Station Renders Itself Back to Relevance]
