Work continues on the new CTA Green/Pink Line station at Morgan and Lake. Serving the West Loop, it will break up the 1.5 mile span between the Clinton and Ashland stations, and could help intensify development in the market district. Curbed visited back in June and captured the steel framework rising. On our most recent sojourn, we were treated to even more progress. The northeast and southeast exit stairs are nearly complete, glazing is being installed over the elevator shafts, and the protective canopies are up. The station was made possible by federal and state funding and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Opening is scheduled for mid-2012. Stay tuned for more updates once it's completed!
