This 1889 4,000 sf North Kenwood beauty is a landmarked George Maher-designed home that underwent total restoration and updating in the 90s. One of the more unexpected members of the Under $300K Club, the house is of unimpeachable quality. For starters, it's at the end of a cul-de-sac on a deeply setback corner lot with lots of greenery. Heading inside, a "dramatic" foyer (whose drama is not captured by the photos) opens up the place. There are original pocket doors, hardwoods, multiple fireplaces, and wonky but fun walls and ceilings. Maybe it's just us, but the new kitchen cabinetry and the carpeting don't seem up to par. Most importantly, this is a re-listing after having been on the market for much of the year at a much higher price. Originally asking $484,000 last December, it's now all the way down to $299,000.
